Peeling
Produce granualted rubber and PUR foils
The R 24 bandknife peeling machine cuts thin foils with tolerances of +/- 0.1 mm [0.004 in] (depending on material) from cylinders made of reconstituted bonded rubber, PU elastomers, cork rubber, and similar materials.
Peel and wind roll goods economically
The material cylinder is fixed to a peeling mandrel and rotated via a motorized feed roller. The desired layer thickness can be easily set by using change gears or alternatively electronically (option). The material cylinder is moved vertically via lifting spindles, before being evenly fed into the circulating bandknife. The peeled foil can then be continually wound up by the next device (R 58 or R 59).
Cut thin material layers with precision
The R 24's side guides allow the material cylinder to be lowered smoothly and evenly. Hardened and ground bandknife guides also ensure that the bandknife is guided with precision. Automatic bandknife adjustment keeps the bandknife in the ideal position even when worn and guarantees a consistently high cutting quality in conjunction with the integrated grinding device.
