Wire cutting center

Using reliable technology, new ideas and a lot of know-how, Fecken-Kirfel has perfected the CNC controlled wire cutting centers. If it is not possible to cut materials with a rotating bandknife (C 67) or with an oscillating knife (C 69), then a proven alternative is the abrasive cutting process with a rotating wire. It is no problem to cut contour parts out of harder or hard materials with the C 58.
The control unit with a Windows operating system takes into consideration the wire thickness with the help of calculating compensation software. The intuitive user interface of the C 58 is compatible with other FK contour cutting centers, making it easy for the machine operator to switch between the different cutting centers. The operator can choose to use the mouse and the keyboard for the machine operation or to use the web-based interface with touch screen.
Moreover, our FK engineers made sure that the files of the cutting line programs are compatible between the FK contour cutting centers. The CAD programming is on basis of DXF contours as well.

Another highlight

is the monitoring of the cutting resistance, which allows the automatic adjustment of the cutting speed.
The powerful exhaust system reduces the dust formation to a minimum. The hold-down device can be moved downwards during the cutting process automatically if the block slumps down. The machine accelerates the cutting wire up to 360 km/h(224 miles/hour). To compensate the wire length, the tension is pneumatically controlled.
